One of baseball’s best insiders has landed a new opportunity. Jon Heyman has joined the New York Post as a baseball writer.
Newspaper work isn’t new to Heyman. A good chunk of his audience though likely knows him from television and his activity on Twitter where he’s frequently broken news on Major League Baseball. In classic insider fashion, Heyman had fun sharing the details on social media on Tuesday night giving credit to fellow scribe Joel Sherman for having the story first.
Heyman has been a staple of the MLB Network for years. He also makes regular appearances on radio stations across the country, serving as a baseball insider for Audacy.
Readers can find Heyman’s work in a variety of places. Since 2006, he has contributed to Sports Illustrated, CBS Sports and The Sporting News. He also covered the New York Yankees for Newsday in the 1990’s.
