Joe Buck will make his way over to the NFL at ESPN eventually, but later this month, he will make his network debut on another sport. Andrew Marchand reports that the play-by-play man will anchor ManningCast-like coverage of the PGA Championship.
This will be a direct off-shoot of the ManningCast. Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions is producing the event. The company is expected to also produce alternate viewing experiences for UFC and college football as well later this year.
Omaha Productions is planning for Joe Buck to be working all four days of the event, which will alternate between ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+ depending on where traditional coverage of the PGA Championship is airing.
ESPN did not comment for Marchand’s story. All that is known right now is that Omaha plans to make this similar to the ManningCast and “book A-list guests” to join Buck.
