HBO and NFL Films are headed to the desert. The league announced on Monday that after an off-season full of headlines and roster speculation, the Arizona Cardinals have been picked as the focus of the second edition of Hard Knocks In Season.
It has been an interesting few months in Arizona to say the least. The acquisition of Hollywood Brown on Draft Night came after months of speculation about how happy quarterback Kyler Murray is to be on the roster. Add to it a disappointing ending to a 2021 season that started with so much promise, and there are plenty of storylines to zero in on before a game is even played.
This will be the first time the franchise has ever been featured on an edition of Hard Knocks.
Filming is set to begin midseason with the show debuting on HBO and HBO Max in the back half of the 17 game schedule.
Hard Knocks In Season debuted last year. The Indianapolis Colts were the focus of the first edition of the show. The Hard Knocks franchise debuted in 2001. Seventeen editions of the preseason version of the show have already aired. The Detroit Lions will be the focus of an 18th which is set to debut in August.
