Fox News star Sean Hannity criticized the Jan 6 Committee and its so-called star witness who testified Tuesday that former President Donald Trump was out-of-control following his speech to thousands of hard-core supporters on Jan. 6.
Hannity accused former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson of sharing information that was speculative and based on hearsay. Some media pundits described Hutchinson’s testimony as compelling and damaging to Trump.
According to a video shared by Mediate, Hannity went on the offensive, blaming the media for believing Hutchinson and jumping the gun.
“And now get this, the Secret Service is planning to refute some of her testimony on the vehicle incident, not to include the fact that he was enraged,” Hannity said referring to a tweet sent out by NBC’s Peter Alexander.
Hannity said Hutchinson wanted to work for Trump after he left the White House but people in Trump’s inner circle advised him not to hire her.
“What you heard there is an incredibly bizarre hearsay allegation from a person who, according to our sources, was actually prepared, she wanted to work for Donald Trump outside the White House,” added Hannity.
“According to so many so-called journalists in the media mob, it was hyperventilating again,” said Hannity. “Oh, we got them again. This time. Trump-Russia collusion. Oh, we got him. Let’s impeach him.”
