ESPN Syracuse’s Brent Axe celebrated the 20th anniversary of his show “On The Block” with Monday.
“Every time I get here again, and I have the opportunity and the privilege…I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that,” Axe said to open Monday’s show.
Axe has hosted the show for ESPN Syracuse, 1260 The Score, and Sportsradio 620 WHEN, and said he felt appreciation and gratitude for the faithful Central New York listeners.
“I felt like it was important…Tony Soprano says ‘remember when is the lowest form of conversation’. In order to take that next step forward, we wanted to take a little step back and say thank you.
Axe, who also serves as an adjunct professor at the prestigious Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, received kudos from 670 The Score’s Danny Parkins for helping launch his career.
