The head of communications for an event that welcomed former President Donald Trump back to Washington D.C. Tuesday, told CNN that Trump’s invitation to the summit was based solely on their desire to have him address policy.
According to Mediate, Marc Lotter. Chief Communications Officer, America First Policy Institute joined Jim Acosta last weekend to discuss Trump’s appearance.
Trump’s speech reportedly centered on criminal justice reforms such as the death penalty for drug dealers and using the National Guard to uphold law and order in cities ravaged by violence.
Acosta pressed Lotter on election fraud and asked why the America First Policy Institute invited Trump to speak in a city where he tried to carry out a “coup.”
“Do you think Trump lost the election?” Acosta flatly asked Lotter during the interview about Trump’s then-pending visit.
“I think there’s no question. Joe Biden is in the Oval Office. They took the Oath of Office on January 20. America watched,” Klotter replied.
Acosta insisted Lotter was “dancing around” the issue.
“He is the biggest name. He’s the visionary behind many of the policies that got him elected to the White House,” added Lotter.
