The Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame announced their Class of 2022 on Thursday and it has chosen nine individuals to honor.
Headlining the class are FOX’s Terry Bradshaw and ESPN’s Joe Buck. Bradshaw is being honored for his work on FOX NFL Sunday which has won him multiple Emmy Awards. Buck is being recognized for his broadcasting career that has included 24 World Series, 22 MLB All-Star games, 6 Super Bowls and more.
The Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame honors individuals who have impacted the way sports television is produced.
“Once again, the quality of inductees, their collective accomplishments, and the ways they have improved sports television viewing is amazing,” says Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame Chairman Ken Aagaard.
The others to be inducted are: NBC engineer Terry Adams, NBC’s Sunday Night Football Director Drew Esocoff, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, former HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg, chief of Olympic Broadcasting Services Manolo Romero, camera operator Deena Sheldon and facilities designer/installer Darrell Wenhardt.
The Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 13, at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City.
