Syndicated radio host Howie Carr accused CNN of trying to create hype for Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo) who has reportedly come under fire from her own party for participating in the Jan. 6 Committee hearings.
The radio host talked about the network’s attempts to drum up support for Cheney during his show Wednesday.
“CNN sent out a crew to try and find some people to say that she’s coming back, the only problem is that they couldn’t really find someone who wanted to vote for Liz,” Carr said. “They had to just kept knocking and kept searching.”
He also played a soundbite from an interview with a man named Brett Kupec who called the hearings a “kangaroo court.”
“If that was the rule of law, why doesn’t he have a defense team in that court?” Kupac said.
Carr also pointed out that CNN’s ratings are causing some to lose their jobs.
“CNN is starting layoffs this week,” he added.
