In a wide-ranging story with Variety, FanDuel Chief Commercial Officer Mike Raffensperger confirmed what has been widely reported: TVG will rebrand as FanDuel TV and officially launch in September.
“I am rebuilding TVG as FanDuel TV to be the first network built from the ground up that is designed to be watched with a phone in your hand,” said Raffensperger. “Every single frame on the screen will have something you can interact with.”
Former Good Morning Football host Kay Adams will host Hey, Kay Adams at 11:00 AM, with Pat McAfee’s PMI Network signed up to produce content for the network as well.
Adams said sports betting “is a part of our game. It’s the future of the industry. I want to be on the right side of that”.
The Ringer, headed by Bill Simmons, will also contribute content, with further details added in the future. FanDuel’s sports betting show More Ways to Win anchored by Lisa Kerney will also air on th network.
Raffensperger also said FanDuel TV won’t be similar to other betting content with analytic pick-driven content, but more engaging and interesting to sports fans at large.
“I’m interested in creating something that features voices like Kay’s that are unique, authentic and have real engagement with their audience, and can thread gaming into broader editorial narratives in sports and culture.”
