Megyn Kelly: Media Suffers From ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ More Than Anyone

While promoting his new book Breaking History, former White House advisor and son-in-law to former President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner joined The Megyn Kelly Show and mentioned his feelings on the media misjudging the former President.

Kelly gave Kushner credit for the way he characterized the media’s coverage.

“You are being so nice to say the media misjudged what was going on in the White House. You know as well as I do that the media, more than any group, suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome, truly sees his as evil, devoted themselves to bringing down his Presidency. Every reporter. Every blogger on the left considered themselves a mini-Woodward & Berstein and saw everything he did through a negative lens. Conspiratorial lens. And interpreted every motivation as truly out for evil.”

Kelly continued by saying when journalists have their mind made up on a subject it showcases their bias.

“That really explains the coverage. When you understand that’s their mindset, that explains the coverage,” Kelly argued. “So you’re being very nice to a group of people who have been very unkind to you and your family.”

“It’s been an interesting relationship they’ve had,” Kushner said of the media and his father-in-law. “And the truth is I think he wanted them to understand he was the most accessible President that we’ve ever had with the media. He answered more questions. He liked engaging with them, but he also bypassed them and went to directly to the people. It was an interesting dynamic.”
