Fox News host Jesse Watters poked fun at Harvard University’s decision Monday to hire former CNN anchor Brian Stelter to teach a class on media disinformation.
“Sources are already telling Primetime that Brian Stelter doesn’t require that students wear masks, but they do anyway because they’re embarrassed to be seen taking Brian’s class,” Watters quipped.
In a statement, the university Stelter will engage with media leaders to “deepen public and scholarly understanding about the current state of the information ecosystem and its impacts on democratic governance.”
“Does Brian have any background in national defense or political science? No, but this is where liberals land when they fail these days, Harvard University,” Watters said. “Little advice to the students, don’t try to bribe Brian with an apple, I would think of other foods.”
Watters observed that former New York Mayor Bill De Blasio also landed a job at Harvard University teaching politics to freshmen.
“The students should listen to everything he says and just do the opposite,” he added.
