CBS Sunday Morning aired a story over the weekend discussing the polarization of talk radio and how it has played into extremist views in America. SuperTalk 99.7 WTN morning host Dan Mandis took offense to what he saw.
“I love talk radio, you love talk radio, we all love talk radio — except for you hate listeners — but CBS did this segment over the weekend and they started talking about division in America and how polarized America is. They bring on their senior national correspondent, a guy by the name of Jim Axelrod, and he’s there to talk about and report about what is going on with talk radio and how it is sowing division across America.”
“So talk radio is now more extreme according to CBS News. Clearly, you listen to talk radio, I work in and listen to talk radio and so we are going to say no, talk radio not only is it not more extreme, I don’t think talk radio has ever been extreme.”
Mandis then claimed large media companies were proven false on their reporting centered on Donald Trump numerous times, but CBS didn’t cover that.
“Oddly enough, though, CBS in their stellar, cutting edge reporting, didn’t report on any of that. Anybody surprised? They also talk about how, with talk radio, one of the things as they continue to discuss it is they talk about how it is absolutely divisive. Not really mentioning anything about The View or any of these other shows that are always bashing conservatives and Donald Trump. Calling us racists, and Nazis and the rest of it.”
Mandis concluded by saying President Joe Biden and Democrats are more responsible for the division in America than conservative talk radio hosts.
