Ex-CNN, MSNBC Execs Explain Not Covering Hunter Biden Story

Two former media executives are defending their decisions not to cover the Hunter Biden laptop story despite reported evidence that the story was legitimate. 18 months ago, the New York Post reported that President Joe Biden’s son abandoned his laptop in a Delaware repair shop with evidence of alleged shady foreign business dealings on it.

According to Breitbart, Ex-CNN boss Jeff Zucker and Ex-MSNBC chief Phil Griffin addressed the situation at Philadelphia’s Un-Convention last week. The event is billed as a long series of “open and honest discussions” with certain experts including those in the media.

Zucker told those in attendance that CNN did investigate the story but decided against reporting it because he was the son of a candidate.

“We did. We did look into it. But first, you know, with regard to the son of the candidate, you know, he was the son of the candidate. He wasn’t the candidate. The question that you’ll come back with is, well, but what role did the candidate play in his business dealings?”

Griffin asserted that MSNBC was influenced by the fact that Hunter was never arrested on charges relating to the laptop.

“Listen, do I think it’s legitimate to look at. Sure. Do I think that it’s a legitimate criticism to say that in the ten days, 14 days prior to the election, you didn’t spend enough time on it? Not really.” He added.
