After a tumultuous summer that saw an executive shakeup, WWE had a record third quarter with a 19% increase in year-over-year revenue.
The company brought in $304.6 million in revenue during the quarter, with a rise from live events and the media sector paving the way.
WWE posted $233 million in media revenue during the July, August, and September months, a rise of 15%. Live events saw an increase to $35.2 million, up from $28 million in 2021.
Longtime CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon left the company in July after allegations of sexual misconduct followed by subsequent “hush money” payments totaling just under $20 million were uncovered. His daughter, Stephanie, and former WWE president Nick Khan were appointed co-CEOs after the chairman’s departure.
