ESPN Jalen & Jacoby host David Jacoby has announced he is leaving the company after 23 years.
In a tweet, Jacoby said “I’ve learned everything I know there, met my best friends there, met my wife there, and leave with zero regrets.”
He added “I can’t wait to share what’s next”.
Many immediately guessed Jacoby would move to The Ringer, founded by Bill Simmons. Jacoby worked as the Executive Producer for Grantland under the tutelage of Simmons while the site was under the ESPN umbrella. He currently co-hosts Ringer Food, a Ringer podcast with Juliet Litman.
Since 2011, Jacoby has partnered with Jalen Rose for Jalen & Jacoby, which started as a podcast and grew into a YouTube show that eventually turned into an ESPN Radio show that later aired on ESPN and ESPN2.
