NASCAR will start its 40th season next month. The landmark anniversary will kickoff with a once in a lifetime event at the Los Angeles Coliseum and four new stations have signed up to carry the action as an MRN affiliate.
Listeners in LA, Chicago, Mobile, AL and Rockford, IL will all hear the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum on February 5. MRN has added AM 830 KLAA, 890 WLS, Sports Radio 105.5 WNSP and Sportsfan Radio 1300 to its roster.
The network will begin its two-day coverage on February 4. It will broadcast all four heat races and two late qualifying races that day. The 150 lap main event will air the following day.
This is the 54th year of operation for MRN. It delivers play-by-play of multiple NASCAR series to more than 500 stations around the country and on MRN.com. It remains the nation’s largest independent sports radio network.
