Pat McAfee Apologizes To Aaron Rodgers For Any Controversies His Show Created

Tuesday was the NFL season finale of The Pat McAfee Show, and it was also the season finale of Aaron Rodgers Tuesday.

Rodgers appeared on Tuesday to put a bow on his weekly appearances. McAfee gave thanks to the Packers quarterback for his time and said he was sorry for any controversies that have arisen in the past from Rodgers’s past appearances.

“We appreciate the hell outta you and we apologize for potentially being a platform that has got you into some stuff,” McAfee said. “More specifically darkness retreat conversations of dates and times and things like that. But we love and appreciate the hell outta you, man.”

Rodgers showed return love and told Pat that what they’ve managed to create over the years of doing these interviews is something that’s unique.

“It’s a great opportunity to share my thoughts on Tuesdays before the Wednesdays come around during the season. And I really enjoy it,” Rodgers said. “I think we’ve created an interview style that other people have tried to copy. And I think that’s a lot to be said for that. Because there’s some rawness to it. It’s not the bullshit, the robotic same standardization of answers that people do.”

Aaron added that there have certainly been some times where things he’s said have become topics of discussion around the league and the sports world.

“We’ve definitely got ourselves into some hot water. But I think we’ve always tried to speak honestly and I appreciate the opportunity to be on here every single week,” he said.

The big question that remains for Rodgers is what does his future hold. Will Rodgers retire, will he try to remain in Green Bay to finish his career, or will he be traded to another team?

There had been some speculation from NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter about when Rodgers could be coming to a final decision. One of the first things Rodgers did when he appeared for his interview with McAfee on Tuesday was refute that reporting.

But Aaron said he holds no grudge against Rapoport or Schefter.

“I have no animosity towards Ian or Adam or anybody trying to do their job, but I’m here to set the record straight when they fall a little short,” Rodgers said. “And all I can say to those guys is when it comes to me, just either ask me, which you can’t, or ask somebody who actually knows if you really, really need something. And if somebody tells you, they’re probably not in the inner circle. So you can put that all together.”
