After Tucker Carlson announced he would move his daily television program to Twitter after being dropped by Fox News, The Daily Wire is now reportedly preparing to do the same.
A report from Axios claims The Daily Wire will put its entire slate of video podcasts, which includes some of the largest news podcasts like The Ben Shapiro Show, The Candace Owens Show, The Michael Knowles Show, and The Matt Walsh Show, exclusively to Twitter from YouTube.
In a statement to Axios, Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boering said Twitter is “the largest free speech platform in the world.”
“If Elon Musk stands by his commitment to make Twitter a home for free speech and delivers on monetization opportunities and more sophisticated analytics for content creators, I imagine we will invest even more into the platform,” continuedBoering said.
The company will begin the transition on Tuesday, May 30th.
The Daily Wire has seen issues with YouTube in recent months. Matt Walsh claimed his YouTube channel had been demonetized after comments he made about transgender TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney.
Like Carlson, The Daily Wire will not have a specific content deal with Twitter. However, the social media platform recently announced it had expanded the length limit of videos for Twitter Blue subscribers. Those utilizing the service will be able to post videos up to two hours in length or 8 gigabytes in size.
