After a report that nine Fox News employees have departed the company to follow Tucker Carlson was unveiled, Newsmax host Eric Bolling wasn’t surprised.
“More fallout of Fox News not only are the viewers seeing how woke Fox is getting but so are the staffers,” said Bolling. “There are others waiting to leave as soon as a role opens up for them. As you can see, no one wants to stay on a sinking ship.”
The Newsmax host mentioned that his program was the beneficiary of an employee leaving Fox News, saying that a new producer has joined the show after working for Carlson.
The Eric Bolling The Balance host then claimed it appeared that Fox News is looking to eradicate any Carlson loyalists from its ranks.
“Once Tucker was bounced from Fox News, there was kind of a negative, let’s call it stripe, painted on the Tucker crew,” argued Bolling. “They loved him while he was there. Once he’s gone. They’re just waiting for them to leave.”
It isn’t the first time Bolling has commented on Carlson’s ouster from Fox News. Late last month the Newsmax host said a legal fight between Carlson and his former cable news home was brewing.
“It’s about to get very, very, really, nasty,” Bolling said.
Bolling, like Carlson, is a former Fox News employee. He worked at the network from 2008 to 2017 when he was dismissed after being accused of sexual misconduct. Bolling has continually denied those allegations.
