WGOW Program and News Director Kevin West has announced he is retiring from the Chattanooga news/talk station.
West has worked in radio for 43 years, with 35 of them in the Chattanooga radio market. He currently serves as the morning news, weather, and traffic anchor for WGOW’s Morning Press show alongside Jim Reynolds and Brice Joyce.

He has served as the Program Director of the Cumulus-owned FM talk station TalkRadio 102.3 FM since 1994. He became the program director of the cluster’s AM talk station — NewsRadio 1150 WGOW AM — in 2011.
West’s final day at WGOW will be on Friday, June 30th. A nationwide search for his replacement is underway.
