Fox News Settles Lawsuit With Abby Grossberg For $12 Million

Fox News has settled a lawsuit brought forth by former Tucker Carlson Tonight producer Abby Grossberg for a $12 million sum.

Grossberg had claimed she was subjected to misogyny, bullying, and antisemitism during her tenure working for the network. In interviews after revealing the suit, she claimed Carlson had a photo of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a bikini. She also claims she was asked by a supervisor on two different occasions which Michigan gubernatorial candidate — Tudor Dixon or Gretchen Whitmer — she’d rather have sex with during the 2022 race. She alleged in an interview with NPR she was told by the producer that he was simply “following Tucker’s tone”. In a separate interview with MSNBC, she said she considered taking her own life rather than continue working at Fox News.

“I am hopeful, based on our discussions with Fox News today, that this resolution represents a positive step by the Network regarding its treatment of women and minorities in the workplace,” Grossberg said in a statement provided by her attorney Tanvir Rahman.

Grossberg’s lawsuit came after she claims she was encouraged to lie during her deposition as part of Fox News’ defamation suit brought forth by Dominion Voting Systems. The network ultimately settled that case for $787.5 million.

After launching the lawsuit, Grossberg was fired by Fox News, She subsequently claimed that she had damaging audio recordings from her time employed at the network, which coincided with the network’s decision to settle the case with Dominion.

A week after her claims of damaging audio, Fox News severed ties with popular primetime host Tucker Carlson.

In a statement, Fox News said “We are pleased that we have been able to resolve this matter without further litigation”.
