WBAL Honors News Anchor Robert Lang For 19 Years of Service

WBAL Newsradio recognized Robert Lang for 19 years of service. Lang started his career in Baltimore after working at WGAL in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, for almost a decade as a full-time reporter and news anchor. A social media post acknowledged the occasion this week.

“To quote the great Vince Bagli, ‘It’s been a pleasure’, and we are already starting to work on our 20th year at WBAL NewsRadio. Talk to you on the radio this afternoon at 3 and tonight on WBAL News Now at 6,” Lang said.

In May 2023, WBAL was awarded five Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. The awards were all given to stations that cover Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. and were in the Large Market Division.

The Murrow Awards recognize local and national news stories that uphold the RTDNA Code of Ethics, demonstrate technical expertise, and exemplify the importance and impact of journalism as a service to the community.

“Happy 19th Anniversary to our lead anchor, Robert Lang WBAL. We appreciate everything you do,” the station added.
