NBC News has announced that Liz Kreutz will join the network as a Los Angeles-based correspondent.
Kreutz joins after departing the ABC affiliate — KGO ABC7 News — in San Francisco. She has also worked at the ABC affiliate in Sacramento.

In her new role, Kreutz will be tasked with covering news in the western region of the United States for NBC News and MSNBC. She will contribute on all of the networks’ platforms.
A multi-Emmy Award winner, Kreutz was also recently awarded a Sacramento Press Club award for her series on Bay Area school board races.
The news of Kreutz’s addition to NBC News comes one day after the network officially named Zinhle Essamuah the co-host of the streaming edition of NBC News Daily.
