The Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame announced its 2023 class of inductees on Thursday.
Sunday Night Football analyst Cris Collinsworth and Inside the NBA host Ernie Johnson highlighted the list of inductees. The induction ceremony will be held on December 12.
“More than 150 leading sports-TV-industry executives took part in this year’s voting, our most ever,” Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame chairman Ken Aagaard said. “Once again, they elected an exceptional class of innovators and game-changers who embody the commitment to excellence, professionalism, and leadership that makes our industry great.”
This year’s class also includes Val Ackerman, Big East commissioner and the first WNBA president, CBS Sports producer Lance Barrow, sports production innovator Tom Fletcher, NBC Sports reporter Andrea Joyce and current Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti.
Also going into the Hall of Fame is Jeff Zachary, who pioneered the Steadicam for NFL coverage, and Steve Hellmuth former executive vice president of media operations and technology at the NBA.
