A concept from the movie Dodgeball is returning next weekend, as ESPN8: The Ocho is set to hit the airwaves of The Worldwide Leader.
The Ocho will come back from August 3-5. The network has 43 hours of programming planned, with 20 of those hours dedicated to live content.
The Savannah Bananas and their Harlem Globetrotters-esque presentation of Banana Ball will air live to kick off coverage of The Ocho at 7 p.m. on August 3. Additionally, the American Cornhole League will follow the Bananas game.
Other live competitions will air throughout the day and night on August 4.
ESPN hosts Ryan McGee and Marty Smith will also be live from Rock Hill, South Carolina where several Ocho-related events are scheduled to take place. McGee and Smith will host The Ocho Show at 3 p.m. on August 4.
