Nicole Auerbach is headed to NBC. Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reports that she will be the network’s new college football insider.
This is an addition for Auerbach. She will continue in her current roles with The Athletic, SiriusXM and Big Ten Network.
With the addition of Big Ten football this season, NBC is airing more college football than ever before. Auerbach will be a part of the network’s new B1G College Countdown with Maria Taylor, Matt Cassel, Joshua Perry, Michael Robinson and Ahmed Fareed. She will also make appearances on other NBC platforms throughout the week.
Insiders are big business for pregame shows. The trend has extended to college football in recent years with ESPN employing Pete Thamel and Bruce Feldman working for FOX.
Auerbach has been writing for The Athletic since 2017. Prior to that, she was with USA Today. She has been with Big Ten Network since 2014. She was names National Sports Writer of the Year by the NSMA in 2020.
