KMJ radio host Ray Appleton will celebrate an incredible achievement on Thursday as he signs on for his 36th year with the station. Appleton began his journey in Fresno in 1969 and has since traveled to London.
Ray Appleton has been an important member of the KMJ team since 1987, offering a steady platform for his diverse thoughts and viewpoints. Throughout the years, he has built a devoted and extensive following, with his voice resonating with audiences from all walks of life. Interestingly, his first day on KMJ coincided with the historic stock market crash, famously known as “Black Monday.”
“He had years prior in rock radio. That will tell you about consistency, and that will tell you why he’s number one in that position for more than three decades. He’s been here for a third of the time the station has been on the air,” KMJ Program Director Blake Taylor told Barrett News Media.
The program hosted by Ray Appleton has a reputation for hosting an impressive lineup of notable guests. From sitting Presidents like Donald Trump, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush to California Governors such as Jerry Brown, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pete Wilson, and George Deukmejian, all have graced his show.
Tune in to Ray’s show on 580AM/105.9FM KMJ, weekdays 11 AM-2 PM.
