Amazon Prime Video Adds Dude Perfect Alternate Broadcast for NFL Black Friday Game

Popular YouTube sports trick shot group Dude Perfect is returning to host an alternate broadcast for the Black Friday NFL game on Amazon Prime Video featuring the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.

The group has nearly 60 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 100 million followers on social media and is now returning for a second consecutive year of these broadcasts. The team will also return for another alternate stream on Thursday, Nov. 30 for the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks. Andrew Marchand of the New York Post was the first to report the news.

Throughout the 2023 regular season, Thursday Night Football has earned double-digit increases in viewership and is averaging 12.91 million viewers through its first six games, according to Nielsen Media Research. The prime-time football broadcast, which features Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstreit, and Kaylee Hartung, will make history by becoming the first property to present a game on Black Friday.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome back TNF with Dude Perfect as part of Prime Video’s inaugural Black Friday football celebration,” Jared Stacy, director of live production for Prime Video Sports said in a statement. “The Dudes’ infectious energy and passion for the game make them a natural fit for our enhanced Black Friday coverage, and the unique afternoon time slot on Nov. 24 presents an added opportunity for parents to watch this family-friendly NFL special alongside their kids.”

Dude Perfect presented four alternate broadcasts last season; however, they took place at different points throughout the regular season. For its sophomore season, the group devised a slate of games that Amazon Prime Video hopes will build on last year’s broadcasts and appeal to younger demographics. As it currently stands, Thursday Night Football has a median audience age of 47, seven years younger than the league’s linear average audience age of 54.

“We’re pumped to be coming back to bring the Dude Perfect experience to Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football! We have a blast with these alternate streams and love presenting a unique way to watch a live NFL game that brings families together,” Dude Perfect member Tyler Toney said in a statement. “To be part of the first-ever NFL Black Friday celebration is an added bonus, and then we come right back six days later for the Seahawks-Cowboys showdown in Big D — it doesn’t get any better!”

The broadcast will feature Toney, along with Garrett Hilbert, Cody Jones, Cory Cotton, and Coby Cotton interacting and captivating audiences on the alternate stream. According to Amazon Prime Video, the presentation will feature “special guests, outrageous stunts, competitions and the occasional world-record attempt.”
