As Veterans Day approaches, ESPN has announced its plans for its Veterans Week initiative.
As part of its weeklong coverage, SportsCenter will present a Veterans Day Special on both Thursday and Sunday. Michael Eaves will host the special program, focusing on military-themed features presented on past iterations of the program.
“ESPN is proud to honor our veterans and their families for their incredible sacrifice and service to our country through our multi-platform storytelling,” said ESPN Vice President of Corporate Citizenship Kevin Martinez. “Through our collaborations and grants to veteran organizations, as well as our employee volunteer efforts, we strive to help veterans and their spouses build pathways to employment.”
Additionally, First Take will present its “Salute to Service” on both Thursday and Friday, and will recognize the U.S. Marin Corps birthday and honor each of the six military branches.
The network has released the complete list of Veterans-themed programming to be presented, which is available here.
