It has been a volatile year for Twitter, as it rebranded to X. There were questions on whether or not the platform would cease operations. Despite the turmoil, WCCO afternoon host Jason DeRusha believes the positives still outweigh the negatives.
In a post to X, DeRusha mentioned he would be off the air through the remainder of the year, but noted that he still finds value on being active with listeners on the social media platform.
“I know it’s been a bizarre year on X/Twitter/whatever this is, but I really enjoy being here and enjoy the people who come here to laugh, or escape, or learn and care enough about our world to weigh in, and agree or disagree, give me a hard time – it’s easy to focus on the negative parts of this experience (they are in my face often) but the positive way outweighs it and it’s because of you guys. So thanks!”
DeRusha has hosted afternoons on the Twin Cities news/talk station since June 2022.
