It appears The Sporting News is undergoing a round of layoffs.
Several SN employees took to social media to announce that they were no longer employed by the outlet.
It’s unclear just how many employees were laid off and if there was any reason given for the job cuts.
The company, like many others in the media space, went through some layoffs last summer. Veteran baseball writer and editor Jason Foster and fantasy sports/betting writer Jovan Alford were among those let go in August.
The Sporting News was sold by DAZN Group to Pax Holdings in 2020 and then became Sporting News Holdings.
Originally founded as a magazine in 1886, The Sporting News transitioned to strictly digital operations in 2013.
