Many believed Bomani Jones would quick link up with Meadowlark Media after he departed ESPN last July. However, he said that idea wasn’t as likely as others may have believed.
Over the weekend, Jones did an “ask me anything” on X, and in a now-deleted response to someone inquiring about joining forces with his former Highly Questionable co-host Dan Le Batard, Jones said don’t hold your breath.
“My run with Dan ended just fine,” Jones wrote. “The assumptions I’d go to Meadowlark just because I worked for him before are somewhere between lazy and insulting.”
Bomani Jones, who hosts his podcast The Right Time and hosted the HBO show Game Theory, added that he will continue to operate independently.
“I had my own thing before I met Dan,” Jones said. “While I worked with Dan. After I worked for Dan.”
Bomani felt like people might have misread the relationship he has with Le Batard.
“He was my co-host,” Bomani said. “Not my daddy.”
