Tucker Carlson released his much-anticipated interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week. After its release, it became a much-maligned interview, and Michael Berry believes he knows why.
While questioning why many in the media were so quick to malign Carlson, The Michael Berry Show host argued the reactions were based on jealousy and pettiness rather than principle and morality.
“Why are they so desperate to insult Tucker? Over 100 million people watched, well over a night that Fox had fewer than 2 million viewers with an entire network behind ’em,” said Berry before turning his attention to one of Carlson’s biggest critics.
“Chris Wallace is so jealous. So petty. Media members are so petty. Talk show hosts can be the same way. It is all about them. There is no truth and honor, anything of the sort. It is all about whether they’re getting the glory, whether they’re being written about and talked about. And Chris Wallace is just a sad little man, who, as Donald Trump said, doesn’t have the talent of his father. Just as simple as that.”
Berry took issue with the insinuation from Wallace that Carlson didn’t ask the Russian President about his motivations for invading Ukraine. However, Carlson did ask the longtime Russian leader about his belief that a U.S.-led invasion by NATO to Russia was imminent, leading to his invasion of Ukraine.
