77 WABC morning host Sid Rosenberg hosted his show from Washington D.C. Thursday morning, as he’ll be in attendance at President Biden’s State of the Union address as the guest of Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY).
Earlier this week, D’Esposito asked Rosenberg to be his guest at the event, which the 77 WABC host accepted with grace.
“On a very serious note, it’s a huge honor. I don’t know what I did to deserve it, other than being the most important radio host in the world, but I really appreciate it. From the bottom of my heart,” Rosenberg said. “Thank you so much.”
When the representative said he hopes Rosenberg has a “great experience and a memorable one”, the New York host joked he’d be a rabble-rouser at the event.
“You’ll never be able to go back again, of course, because when the Secret Service hauls me out, and they find out you invited me, that’ll be done for you,” Rosenberg said with a loud chuckle.
“We’ll deal with that Friday,” D’Esposito joked.
Sid Rosenberg has long been a vocal critic of President Biden’s but said the opportunity was too good to pass up.
