Last year, KLIN in Lincoln added Dan Parsons for a one-hour show in afternoon drive. Now, 10 months later, the station is going in a different direction.
In a story with the Lincoln Journal Star, Parsons says he was fired last week with no warning.
“We’ve just chosen to go in a different direction,” said KLIN General Manager Ami Graham told the publication.
The Dan Parsons Show was heard from 5-6 PM between The Sean Hannity Show and the station’s Sports Nightly program.
Parsons told the newspaper he specifically tried to stay away from politics on the program due to the nature of the rest of the station’s preceding lineup.
“I just love the variety of what we were able to do for 10 months. He added that he “learned that this city is everything I thought it was in my experience of being a lifelong resident. I learned that there are a lot of great stories. There are a lot of great leaders here.”
The station has yet to unveil what will replace Parsons in the one-hour timeslot.
