In an interview for his digital video show, Tucker Carlson interviewed a Palestinian Christian Pastor — Dr. Munther Isaac — who claimed the Israelis, not the Palestinians, are killing members of his faith in Bethlehem. NewsNation host Leland Vittert couldn’t hold in his criticism of his former Fox News colleague after seeing the interaction.
In his takedown of Carlson, Vittert argued that the pastor he sat down with has lived and worked in an area controlled by Palesinians for “almost two decades,” so his insinuation that it is actually Israel doing the damage in his area is preposterous.
“If you wake up in the morning and decide that your Christian faith requires you to support a foreign government blowing up churches and killing Christians, I think you’ve lost the thread,” Carlson said while speaking with the reverend on his Tucker on X program published Tuesday.
Leland Vittert — after juxtaposing Carlson’s opinions with those of The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart — took the opportunity to compare Tucker Carlson to one of the more prominent Nazi figures.
“Joseph Goebbels – the Nazi propaganda chief — would be proud,” said Vittert. “Tucker’s a smart guy. Yet, he’s taking the side of terrorists. There’s no other explanation than his unabashed hatred of Jews. Twenty years ago, we all remember, Stewart exposed Tucker for what he is. That ended Carlson’s tenure on CNN’s Crossfire.
“But there’s a larger lesson to take now six months since Hamas attacked Israel, since the hostages were taken. Hamas has been exposed for what they are. Stewart has been exposed for caving to his liberal viewers. Carlson’s been exposed for siding with terrorists. And now in America – and this is the sad part – hating Jews, calling for their destruction, celebrating their rape? It’s now ok. It’s hard to have peace with people who think that is ok.”
