Longtime KTOK host Carole Arnold has died after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Arnold spent 20 years with Clear Channel before the company rebranded to iHeartMedia. Eight of her 20 years were spent hosting a show at the Oklahoma City news/talk station.
As host of the Morning Magazine, Arnold served as the wake-up host of the Oklahoma capital, and was on the air reporting live during the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. However, her show ended in 1996 after the station decided to move away from more community topics and focus on a conservative talk strategy featuring more nationally syndicated hosts, according to The Oklahoman.
After she departed KTOK, Arnold spent time hosting at KNOR in nearby Norman and also worked at KOMA 1520 AM in the early 2000s.
Carole Arnold was 85 years old.
