President Joe Biden sat down with CNN anchor Erin Burnett for an exclusive interview earlier this week, and 710 WOR host Mark Simone was not impressed.
In a surprise interview with Burnett, Biden made claims that he would stop supplying Israel with ammunition should it invade the Palestinian city of Rafah. He talk about the rise of AI and the current state of the economy.
And that’s what led Simone to insinuate that the Biden White House and CNN made a deal that Erin Burnett would take it easy on the President.
“He actually agreed to a CNN interview. Now, he’s been very careful. He doesn’t talk to the press, and he doesn’t grant the interviews. Very, very few. Just one in a million,” said Simone. “It’s always to a pandering, drooling person who will just nod like a bobblehead. First, Seth Meyers. It was Howard Stern. Last night? Erin Burnett on CNN.
“He granted CNN an interview and she obviously made some kind of an agreement not to follow up with anything, not to question anything. Because he told her a couple of bold out-and-out lies, and she just nodded like a bobblehead.”
The argument from Mark Simone that Burnett asked “softball” questions of Biden is a similar argument made against the high-profile interview conducted by Howard Stern earlier this month. However, the SiriusXM host argued that the accusation was preposterous.
