Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio has announced that legendary radio host Delilah will receive the 9th annual MIW Airblazer Award.
The award will be presented to Delilah during the Morning Show Boot Camp on Friday, August 9th at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego.
“I’m honored to be recognized by MIW and MSBC and awarded with the Airblazer Award this year, joining a group of very talented women who’ve also received this award,” Delilah said. “I do my very best to stay true to my audience relationship and provide the best one-on-one communication I know how. If my actions inspire other women on the air to do the same, then I’m all more humbled by this recognition”.
Her nighttime program reaches more than eight million weekly listeners on more than 160 stations, making her the most-listened-to-woman in radio.
“Delilah’s dedication to the radio industry, to children, and to communities far and wide has rightfully garnered an impressive collection of awards,” said MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff. “MIW is proud to add Airblazer to the list. We are, as always, appreciative of Don Anthony for partnering with us on recognizing extraordinary women broadcasters.”
A member of the Radio Hall of Fame and the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame, Delilah has been on the air for nearly 40 years. She was also recently honored with the Gracies Icon Award.
