94WIP Morning Show to Broadcast From London for MLB World Tour

Date:

SportsRadio 94WIP will broadcast programming live from London, England as the Philadelphia Phillies prepare to face the New York Mets as part of the Major League Baseball London Series over the weekend. The National League East division rivals are playing two games from London Stadium, both of whom have Audacy stations as their flagship radio homes.

To celebrate the occasion, The 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara and Joe Richie will broadcast live from Passyunk Avenue, a Philadelphia-themed bar in London, on Friday, June 7 and Monday, June 10 as part of a partnership with Phans of Philly. The broadcasts will air both days beginning at 6 a.m. EST and feature several special guests over the two episodes, including former Phillies players and World Series champions Cole Hamels and Matt Stairs.

Passyunk Avenue in London is owned and operated by former South Philadelphia natives and is considered among the premier locations for Philadelphia fans to socialize and provide their support for the team overseas. The venue will have several events throughout the week including tailgating, bus tours and local food from Philadelphia. Friday’s morning show will broadcast from its Waterloo facility, while the Monday edition will take place from its Embassy Gardens location.

The Phillies currently have a 44-19 record on the regular season, holding first place in the National League East and tied with the New York Yankees for the best record in the sport. Led by superstars Bryce Harper, Aaron Nola and Zack Wheeler, the team will aim to continue its momentum overseas against a Mets team coming off a three-game sweep of the Washington Nationals. Saturday’s game will begin at 1:10 p.m., and Sunday’s contest commences at 10:10 a.m. EST, both of which will be available to hear live on SportsRadio 94WIP.
