Men’s College World Series is 2nd Most-Watched on ESPN Platforms

The college baseball season came to a dramatic close on Monday night as the Tennessee Volunteers won their first ever Men’s College World Series by knocking off Texas A&M 6-5 in the deciding game. The game itself drew an average audience of 3.34 million viewers and peaked over 4 million, making it the 2nd most-watched Finals Game 3 on ESPN platforms.

Overall, the MCWS averaged 2.82 million viewers across ESPN platforms, which has it behind only last year’s LSU-Florida series as the most-watched on record.

Game 1 on ESPN and ESPNU saw an average of 2.26 million viewers, making it the 3rd most-watched Finals Game 1 on ESPN platforms. Game 2 on ABC and ESPNU saw an increase to an average of 2.92 million viewers, making it the most-watched Finals game 2 on ESPN platforms.

ESPNU was carrying the ump cam alt-cast and drew under 300,000 viewers for each of the games, with Game 2 having the most viewers with 263,000.
