On Tuesday, Donald Trump Jr. claimed he has been blacklisted from Fox News and is not welcome to appear on the network in any capacity. After he made those statements, the network denied his accusations.
Speaking at an Axios event Tuesday, the former President’s son said Rupert Murdoch’s influence over the Republican Party and Fox News “is not what it used to be” before stating that he is no longer welcome to appear on the conservative cable channel.
“There was a time where if you wanted to survive in the Republican Party, you had to bend the knee to him or to others,” Trump Jr. said. “I don’t think that’s the case anymore.”
However, after making the claim that he’s been blacklisted, it was revealed that the former President’s son was interviewed by Aishah Hasnie — a Fox News correspondent — during a media session on Monday in Milwaukee.
A Fox News spokesperson shared “He is and always has been welcome on all FOX News Media platforms,” when asked if Donald Trump Jr. had indeed been blacklisted by the network.
Additionally, the outlet claims before Trump Jr. made his comments, he was asked to appear on Fox & Friends on Wednesday morning, which he has accepted.
