Benztown’s syndicated “Sunday Night Slow Jams” today celebrates 30 years on air.
Creator, Producer, and Host R-Dub started the show when he was just 16 at a small AM station in Tucson. It has grown to more than 200 radio stations in 14 countries and reaches a weekly audience of over three million listeners.
A weekday edition of the show also airs from Monday through Thursday, 10 PM to midnight. The program caters to formats including Top 40, Hot AC, Urban, Urban AC, Rhythmic/Hip-Hop, and Classic Hip-Hop stations with multiple versions available.
On June 21st, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero recognized the success of “Sunday Night Slow Jams” by presenting an official proclamation honoring the show and its creator, R-Dub.
Leading up to this milestone, “Sunday Night Slow Jams” and its affiliate station KSZR (97.5 The Vibe)/Tucson hosted a 30th Anniversary Party and Concert at Desert Diamond Casino on June 21st.
