Several reports out of Philadelphia say Howard Eskin will return to 94WIP this weekend after having been absent from the station since late June. A July 1 news story revealed Eskin had been banned from both Citizens Bank Park, where the Phillies play, and from the Sixers’ practice facility after an investigation found he made an unwanted advance toward a female Aramark employee in May at a Phillies game.
According to reports, Eskin was at the opening of Eagles training camp yesterday. He is part of the Eagles Radio Network broadcasts and serves as a team insider for WIP. Eskin, 73, has not addressed the matter publicly.
It had been previously reported Eskin had a preplanned vacation the first week he missed, and the following weekend was the final show for Glen Macnow who retired after 31 years. BSM reached out to Audacy but was not given a reason for Eskin’s absence this past last Saturday.
An Eagles spokesperson told the Philly Voice that Audacy requested access for Eskin, and team granted their request. Audacy officials have said they conducted an investigation into the incident at Citizens Bank Park and addressed the matter internally.
