Las Vegas radio veteran Larry Martino has retired from Beasley Media’s Classic Hits KKLZ/Las Vegas. Martino had been with the station since 2007 and has been in the Las Vegas market for the past 30 years. He was KKLZ’s APD/MD/PM driver.
The station’s web page states, “We want to thank Larry for his dedication and hard work throughout the years. He had taught us so much and had made 96.3 KKLZ a special station. We’re proud to have worked and learned from Larry. This is not goodbye but a ‘see you later!”’
Mike O’Brian, KKLZ PD, said, “After spending 17-18 years programming with Larry Martino, you find out he is an incredible talent, has an amazing work ethic, and is a true radio pro who made KKLZ that much better!”
Martino is a member of the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame. In addition to Las Vegas, his stops included KGGI/Riverside, CA, KQXR/Bakersfield, and WZKS/Nashville.
Geno Knight, currently the afternoon host at WRBQ (Q105)/Tampa and WROR/Boston, will track KKLZ.
