Last month, The Sports Animal in Tulsa Assistant PD and midday host Erik Gee announced he was leaving the station. He would later reveal he was headed to be Program Director at 92.1 The Ticket in Fayetteville, Arkansas and to work on their morning show. Now we know who will take his place on the air in Tulsa as the station has announced Cayden McFarland will now work with Pat Jones in middays.
McFadden is the Sports Director for KJRH Channel 2 in Tulsa and will now co-host The Pat Jones Show.
“So excited to join the Sports Animal and contribute to a show that’s become a mainstay in the Tulsa sports landscape,” McFarland posted on X. “Working with Pat is gonna be great fun. Looking forward to connecting with the listeners, too!”
Jones is a Hall of Fame member at Oklahoma, Arkansas and the Gator Bowl, he is a former Oklahoma State University head football coach and 11-year NFL coach with Miami and Oakland.
McFarland spent a year in news media before starting in sports in Abilene, TX in 2003. He spent four-and-a-half years in West Texas, the last four years, as Sports Director at KRBC-TV.
