Saga Communications has promoted Samuel Bush to EVP while retaining his role as CFO/Treasurer and Wayne Leland from SVP/Operations to COO.
Bush has been with Sage since 1997. Before that, he spent nine years at AT&T Capital Corporation’s Media & Real Estate Finance Group.
Bush said, “I am excited to continue to work with Chris and the entire Saga team to build on the success that we have already obtained as well as to contribute to overcoming the challenges that currently exist and to build on the significant opportunities that are a part of Saga’s future.”
Leland joined Saga in 2011 as General Manager of the company’s stations in Norfolk, Virginia. He later became President of Tidewater Communications, the licensee of Saga’s properties in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, and Norfolk. At the start of 2023, Leland moved to the corporate executive team. Before this, Leland held several other leadership roles, including COO of Spring Broadcasting, Regional President for Citadel Broadcasting, and General Manager for Capstar.
Leland said, “It is a privilege to work with such a talented and dedicated team. With our collective efforts, I am confident we will achieve remarkable success and reach new milestones of achievement.”
Chris Forgy, Saga President/CEO, added, “Saga has an elite team of leaders and staff. These new titles for both Sam and Wayne are a form of congratulations as well as recognition for their past, present and future contributions to Saga. Their promotions are both well deserved.”
