Mike Vincent has again taken the PD chair at WVRC Media’s Country WKKW/Morgantown, WV.
In 2019, Vincent joined the station as the PD and afternoon host at WKKW. He held these roles until May 2022, when he was promoted to Director of Country Music Programming for the company. Along with his new responsibilities, Vincent has continued to host the station’s afternoon programming and his directorial duties.
Vincent resumes his role as the day-to-day programming director at WKKW, taking over from cluster OM Matt Kelly. Kelly retains that position while also continuing as PD of Top 40 WVAQ (The Hit Music Channel)/ Morgantown/WV.
Kelly wrote to the staff announcing the moves, “I had spoken to upper management about this a while back, as my duties as dual-PD for BOTH WVAQ and WKKW, on top of my duties as Operations Manager, were not working. I felt I wasn’t truly able to give time and attention to everything, and everyone, that needed it. With this move, Mike will be able to truly be plugged into the sound of the station – making it the best it can be. He knows this format better than I do.”
