iHeartRadio Broadway is set to present a special hour-long event honoring “30 Years of Disney” on Broadway in November. The special will be hosted by iHeartRadio’s “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” co-hosts Danielle Monaro and Medha Gandhi.
The event will feature a Q&A session and performances by the renowned EGOT-winning composer Alan Menken and the original Disney Broadway leading lady Susan Egan (Beauty and the Beast).
The event will air on the iHeartRadio Broadway channel on the iHeartRadio app, www.iheartradiobroadway.com, or WLTW-HD2 on Monday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 4 pm, and Saturday, Nov. 9, at 12 pm. (ET)
Eight-time Academy Award winner Menken is set to delve into the making of four sensational Broadway hits created in collaboration with Disney Theatrical Group. These include “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Newsies,” and “Aladdin.” Additionally, he will shed light on their upcoming stage production, “Hercules,” which is scheduled to debut in London’s West End next summer.
Egan is set to share the tale of her Broadway premiere in Disney’s first-ever Broadway production, “Beauty and the Beast.” The show’s success is evident by its 13-year run, which secured its place among the top 10 longest-running productions in Broadway’s storied history.
The upcoming special will showcase exclusive joint performances by Menken and Egan.
