Oregon’s 32-31 win over Ohio State in a matchup of top three teams over the weekend drew the largest primetime audience for a regular season Big Ten conference game since 2008. Big Ten Saturday Night averaged 10.2 million viewers across NBC, Peacock, and NBC Sports Digital, according to fast national reports from Nielsen and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

The audience ranks the game as the second most-watched college football game of the season. The Georgia-Alabama game on NBC a few weeks ago drew just under 12 million viewers on average.

Ohio State-Oregon is the most-watched primetime regular-season matchup between Big Ten teams since Oct. 25, 2008 when Penn State played Ohio State, and that game drew 10.4 million viewers on ABC.

The game featured seven lead changes with Oregon taking the final lead with 1:47 remaining in the game. NBC Sports reports the audience peaked at 13.4 million viewers as the game was coming to an end between 10:45 p.m.-11 p.m. ET.

After the weekend slate of games, Oregon is now ranked No. 2, Ohio State No. 4 with Penn State from the Big 10 in between them at No. 3. This weekend, NBC and Peacock will have Iowa at Michigan State as the Big Ten Saturday Night matchup.
